If ever a woman was at the forefront of an industry and a true trailblazer, it is retired Vice Admiral Sandra Stosz. While she chose to attend the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, she rose up the ranks in the wholly male dominated military of the USCG. Sandy served with distinction, traveled the world and led from the front for 40 years. Listen in to her awe-inspiring journey and the lessons learned that can be applied in the boardroom as well as on an icebreaker in Antarctica.

  1. What a great well rounded discussion of leadership with Vice-Admiral Stosz. Her core values, which started as a teenager, deepened and developed through her forty years in the Coast Guard which no doubt helped her navigate successfully through treacherous waters (both literally and figuratively) which is why Admiral Stosz has so much to give back to others. Admiral Stosz sees each one of us as important members of a relay team, furthering the possibilities for all of us, with the gifts we were born with and developed through our lives to contribute to one another. It reminds me of a quote “There are no passengers on Spaceship Earth, we’re all crew”.
Thank you Sandra Stosz for ALL of your service!
